Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before your ride.
Do I need experience riding an e-bike?
No experience needed. We'll give you a quick walkthrough when we deliver the bike — throttle, pedal assist, brakes, everything you need to feel confident.
Is there an age limit or weight capacity?
Riders must be 18 or older. The weight capacity is 350 lbs.
What's included with my rental?
Every rental includes a helmet, a lock, and a quick safety walkthrough. All included in the price — no hidden fees.
How does payment work?
Book your time slot online and pay when we deliver. We accept all major credit and debit cards via Square, or cash.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. A refundable $200 security deposit is collected at delivery and refunded once the bike is returned in good condition.
What if it rains?
We'll reschedule your rental at no charge. Just give us a call at (949) 244-7824.
Where can I ride?
Anywhere you'd like — the boardwalk, Back Bay, Balboa Island, and the surrounding areas. The bike has a range of up to 50 miles, so you've got plenty of room to explore. Please follow all local traffic laws and ride responsibly.
How does delivery and pickup work?
We deliver the bike directly to you — your hotel, vacation rental, or any spot on the Newport Beach Peninsula. When we arrive, we'll verify your ID, collect payment and the security deposit, walk you through the bike, and have you sign the waiver. At the end of your rental, we'll come pick it up from the same location (or wherever you are on the Peninsula).
Do you deliver outside the Peninsula?
Our standard delivery area is the Newport Beach Peninsula. If you're nearby — Corona del Mar, Back Bay, or other parts of Newport — reach out and we'll do our best to accommodate. Call or text us at (949) 244-7824.
Can I rent more than one bike?
Yes. Book each bike separately online, or call us at (949) 244-7824 and we'll set up a group reservation.
Do I need to sign anything?
Yes. Every rider signs a short digital waiver before the ride. You can
sign it online ahead of time or complete it when we deliver the bike. A valid government-issued photo ID is also required.
What if the bike breaks down during my rental?
Call or text us right away at (949) 244-7824. We'll come to you as quickly as possible — either to fix the issue on the spot or swap the bike out. You won't be charged for any downtime.
Can I extend my rental?
Yes, subject to availability. Just call or text us before your rental period ends and we'll extend it. Additional time is charged at $20 per hour.
Where do I lock the bike if I stop somewhere?
A lock is included with every rental. Lock the bike to a fixed object (bike rack, pole, railing) whenever you leave it unattended — even for a quick stop. You're responsible for the bike during your rental, so please don't leave it unlocked.
What happens if I damage the bike?
Minor wear and tear is normal — don't worry about a little dirt or dust. If there's actual damage (bent frame, cracked display, etc.), the cost of repair or replacement will be deducted from your security deposit or charged to your card on file. Report any damage or accidents immediately by calling (949) 244-7824.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 2 hours before your rental for a full refund. Cancellations within 2 hours may be subject to a fee. Rain or unsafe weather? We'll reschedule at no charge.
Is the bike electric? Do I still have to pedal?
The bike has both a throttle and pedal assist. You can cruise using just the throttle (up to 20 mph) without pedaling at all, or use pedal assist (also up to 20 mph) for a more active ride. Totally up to you.
How do I book?
Pick your rental length — 2 hours, half day, or full day — and choose a date and time on our
booking page. You can also call or text (949) 244-7824 to book directly.
Can I buy a bike instead of renting?
Yes. We sell like-new and lightly used Revv1 e-bikes. You can test the exact bike before you buy and discount the rental cost from the purchase price. See more info on the
bikes for sale page. Call or text to check availability.
